I actually had a pretty simple job in creating my value scale, with no adjustments necessary. The other assignment was a little more complicated, I had to check back with my scale to make sure not all the values were to similar.

Description:
This piece has the darkest step in the middle of all the other shapes. It has all organic shapes that are not often repeated. The outer most shapes are mostly lighter with the exception of one dark shape in the left corner.
Interpretation:
The peice gives a very warm and almost homey feel. The heart-like shapes on the outer most layer gives it a feeling of love or passion. Also the fact that the piece was done in lighter shades for the majority it also gives it a more of a happy feeling.
Evaluation:
I enjoy the piece overall. I feel like it is alight piece and full of emotion. I think it definately works and solves the visual problem presented.
